About me

1

'Let me play the fool.  With mirth and laughter let old wrinkles come and let my body rather heat with wine than my heart cool with mortifying groans.'  This is my motto. Anything to make people laugh. Laughing at life and the irony of the daily grind. Trying to find happiness by working ourselves into the ground.  Constantly trying to climb the ladder of stress and ending up paying money  for treatments to keep ourselves from an early grave.

"Most recent performance work include projects with Art Sung, including a piece about Clara Schumann and her relationship with Brahms, a live multimedia piece where I provided the voice of Brahms and  I have also been recruited for some commercial pieces.  Promotional voice over and film producing work with charities such as the Multiple Sclerosis Society and the Peace Villages Association has been my ongoing focus over a number of years, helping create awareness and fundraising videos as well as in-house training role plays.

Following on from my previous  training at A.L.R.A. and experience with various screen and theatre organisations such as Groundlings Theatre and the Kings Theatre, Portsmouth in the comedic signature type roles, such as Bottom from Midsummer

Night's Dream and Mr Beaver from Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, I am looking to expand my comedic role abilities into the voice over arena.

Here, I feel, is where I can use my understanding of human behaviour and  natural and astute ability to observe the fundamental truths of the way life works, to comedically highlight the worlds offerings of absurdity through character stories. I'm currently working on a comedy script based on my own experience of the dynamics of an educational group of people coming together all with a similar interest in Alexander Technique.

The 4 years training I have gone through to become an accredited Alexander Technique teacher, and the subsequent experience of working with my students, has enabled me to develop an holistic good use of myself. This tool for life allows me to remain  balanced and poised within and produces an energy enhancing, present moment connected,  creativity producing, 'means whereby' (as FM Alexander puts it); an opportunity for happy and conscious day-to-day living.

My broad educational and wide set of life and career experiences have set me up with the necessary tools to be capable of a wide variety of creative voice over roles and other work."
